Oahu Spotlight: Sans Souci Beach

We recently asked LUVA Realtors what their favorite beach spot was for a fun sun-filled beach day! Read on to find out about Terri Lee Campbell’s favorite beach, Sans Souci Beach

Sans Souci Beach

A small popular and uncrowned beach located at the edge of Waikiki and Diamond Head. A safe beach with a lifeguard on day duty.

Sans Souci in French means “without worry” or “free of care”. A small strip of beach on the Gold Coast of Oahu comes to life each morning as locals and visitors come to claim their place in the sand. A safe place for an ocean swim to the wind sock over reefs or enjoy a little paddle boarding or snorkeling.

Stop in at the Kaimana Beach Hotel at the Hau Tree (one of Hawaii’s best-kept secrets) for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks as the bustle of the beach proves entertaining. Sunset may often include a green flash.

Located across from Kapiolani Park. A wonderful place to walk, jog, or biki-bike and then dip in the friendly waters of Kaimana Beach.

It has become a popular spot for monk seals to give birth or just to come and sunbathe.

Only steps from Michel’s at Colony Surf and just down the street from the Elks Club and Outrigger canoe club.

In the evenings the beach becomes quiet and you can stroll just listening to the rhythm of waves.

Open to fishing from January 1 to December 31 on even-numbered years and closed to fishing from January 01 to December 31 on odd-numbered years.
