Big Island Chocolate Festival

With the theme “Worth Its Weight in Gold: The History of Chocolate” the sixth annual Big Island Chocolate Festival is April 28-29 with events headquartered at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Fun starts with a plantation tour at Original Hawaiian Chocolate in Keauhou and continues with ag seminars, culinary demos, college competition and a decadent Gala on the 29th. The gala hosts over 30 culinary stations featuring both sweet and savory delectable creations! General admission tickets to the gala are $79 presale and $100 at the door. Hawai’i Island Visitor Industry Charity Walk

It’s the only walk in Hawaii that you can gain weight at! Come enjoy all-you-can-enjoy cuisine from many of the Kohala Coast’s best resort chefs! The Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association’s 39th Annual Charity Walk Fundraiser benefits non-profit agencies on the Island of Hawai’i. The 5k fun run and walk includes food stations hosted by member hotels and resorts restaurants, children’s activities, silent auction and live entertainment. Time: 5am check-in; run starts 6:45am, walk begins 7:00am at Queens’ Marketplace, Waikoloa Beach Resort. Ka’u Coffee Festival

Celebrating award-winning Ka’u coffee, this annual festival offers unique and exciting activities for the coffee lover. The festival’s pinnacle event is an all-day, free ho’olaule’a May 27 at Pahala Community Center, offering coffee, food and craft booths; entertainment, farm and mill tours and guided coffee tastings. “Kokua Kailua” Village Stroll and Hulihe’e Palace Monthly Event
